Information Literacy Awareness Month

October is Information Literacy Awareness Month!

A quick definition of information literacy:  it is the ability to recognize when information is needed, and to effectively locate, evaluate, and use that information.  In addition, you need to be aware of the economic, legal, and social issues surrounding the use of information, and access and use information ethically and legally.

Need help with any of these aspects? Ask a librarian! Librarians are information literacy experts!
